This is the GRRA's high school program for summer 2013, accepting rowers from any school in the Grand Rapids area. Rowers should be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school, and previous rowing experience is helpful.
The focus of this year's program is to give athletes experience in sculling shells, although sweep shells will be used as well.
Practices are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Grand Rapids Boathouse. The fee for the entire program is $120, and students will be expected to help run middle school camps to take place during the summer(details at practice).
Registrations will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the summer. Please direct questions to coach Chelsea Shoop at firstname.lastname@example.org, an experienced GRRA coach that is also the head coach for the Grand Rapids Rowing Association's junior program during the academic year.
