This is going to be THE event of the summer! GRRA Row-a-thon will take place at the GRRA boathouse on June 16 at 10 am. Members will be colelcting pledges prior to the event and will be rowing on ERGs to colelct the pledge ammounts to fund their membership fees, program fees, and equipment needed.
After the event members will celebrate with an “after party” at Perrin Brewing at 1pm where there will be a “live auction” featuring various donated items including gift cards, a large barrel of wine and more! Individuals will bid on items and funds will be doanted to the Grand Rapids Rowing Association. In addition to this there will be an “online auction” which will begin on June 4 and run though June 18 with funds also being donated to the Rowing Association.
Every member should be working on getting sponsors for this 1st Annual Indoor Rowing event. We will meet at the GRRA boathouse at 10am to begin rowing. We will have relays, speed races, and other fun ways to enjoy erging! All this fun AND we are building up our Equipment Fund by getting sponsors. Your sponsor can pay per meter or a flat amount.
