Keep on building your technique!

This 200-level indoor rowing class is intended for those with previous indoor rowing experience. Participants will learn advanced techniques for maximum power and stroke efficiency, and will consider racing strategies, use of the anaerobic threshold, interval work, and training strategies to improve power and results.

Several informal opportunities for competition between students will be available, as well as a formal competition (ergattas) in the metro area - the State Winter Games of Michigan indoor rowing race, hosted by the GRRA - following the conclusion of the course.

Students should have previously taken a 100 level indoor rowing course, although in some cases beginning rowers will be accepted with the permission of the coach. Come dressed to row (shorts & t-shirt)!

Your instructor will be Lauren Holben, coach of the GRRA's masters (competitive adult) team, for a four-session class at the GRRA Indoor Rowing Center in Rogers Plaza (next to the Secretary of State office). Changing rooms are available at the IRC, and ample parking is available.

Classes meet 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Attendance is limited! Register now to hold your place.
