Crossfit athletes are in good shape... but they sure can get angry when a rower beats them on the rowing machine by using better technique. If you want to get closer to that elusive 1:30 split, if you want to kick the crap out of Tabata workouts, this is the class for you. You'll also learn why keeping the damper at 10 all the time is a terrible idea.
This 300-level indoor rowing class is intended for those with previous indoor rowing experience. We prefer if students have previously taken a 100 level indoor rowing course, although in many cases avid Crossfit rowers will be accepted with the permission of the coach. Come dressed to row (shorts & t-shirt)!
Your instructor will be Sarah Walczewski, captain of the GRRA's masters women's rowing team, for a four-session class at the YWCA in downtown Grand Rapids. Locker rooms are available at the YWCA, and parking is available on the street or in nearby parking lots.
Classes meet 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
