It's the best-kept secret at the gym... the ergometer is a great way to stay in shape, practice the rowing stroke, and keep at the top of your game during the winter months.
Upcoming Events
On Saturday March 6 (8:30 - 10:30 am) and Wednesday, March 10 (5:30 - 7:30 pm) we will be hosting our Spring Tune-Up sessions at the YWCA. The Spring Tune-Up is a great way to get back into rowing shape, and to remember the rowing stroke after a long, cold winter! Sessions are free for members, $10 for non-members. Contact Coaches Mike Stemo (mike@grrowing.org) or Landon Bartley (landon@grrowing.org) if you'd like to participate, or register here.
Also, on Saturday, March 13 (10 am - 1 pm) the GRRA will be hosting the annual Rowathon, to raise money for the club and the high school team. The Rowathon will be held at the downtown YMCA (475 Lake Michigan Dr NW), and participants will row for one hour. It's a crucial fundraiser for the club... participants should aim to raise at least $100 (pledge forms here), with the top three fundraisers getting a great prize!
The GRRA has several rowing machines (ergometers) available for member use (and rental in the off-season). Please contact a GRRA coach to set up a time for instruction, if needed!
